Verdelandia has been representing a tradition of many generations, with a unique flavor, for over 35 years. The company has been created through prose from father to son, and the family remembers pleasant stories. Everything started in Matelandia in 1985 and it has been part of circles of chimarrão (Mate drink) ever since.
Currently, its headquarters is located in Espigão Alto do Iguaçu – PR, and its branch is located in Guarapuava – PR, in the district of Palmeirinha.
Verdelandia is the pioneer of vacuum herb processing in Paraná, and we have always prioritized the quality of our products and services: from the selection of the raw material for drying, processing, packaging, and distribution of the final products. The first brand was launched in 1986: Verdelandia Mate herb.
Around 1989, the second brand became popular: Quero-Quero Mate herb. Quero-Quero Mate herb is the perfect combination of a homogenous product and an uncomparable flavor because of its selected raw material of great quality.
More flavors arrived in the factory at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The company started the production of Mate herb for terere drinks. The success of our terere drinks consists of the mix of the green Mate herb and the flavor of mint, peppermint, lemon, pineapple, and others.
Verdelandia Mate Herb industry consists of four lines of production: three for the processing of Mate for chimarrão and one for terere. It produces over a million kilos of Mate herb per month and it is available throughout the country.

For Verdelandia, it is not fair to take from nature the raw material of our products. That’s why it is necessary to invest in reforestation to keep the environmental balance. For that reason, Verdelandia has been planting Mate herbs in a continuous and responsible way, avoiding environmental damage. Once adults, the trees are taken to the drying of their leaves. The growth of Mate herb consists of a self-sustaining technique, considering that the trees are trimmed during the harvest, so that their natural cycle can continue and the company can profit from them in a responsible and sustainable way.
We work in a clean and ventilated environment. Our machines can pack up to 22 packages per minute.
This mechanical process enables quickness and quality in the industrialization process of the Mate herb.
Verdelandia has been increasingly investing in the vacuum process in the past few years in order to preserve the product for longer and to keep its sensorial qualities.
There is no air inside the package, hence the humidity does not affect the product, increasing the product’s shelf life. Our customers can always be sure of Verdelandia’s quality when it comes to our products.
Verdelandia Mate herb industry is the first company to introduce this packaging technology in Paraná.
